October is the month of the Rosary. Our parish will have a Living Rosary on Saturday, Oct. 5, after the 5:30 pm Mass. The purpose of the Living Rosary is to unite the parish in this very powerful prayer and to ask our Blessed Mother's intercession to bring FAITH, LOVE and PEACE to the world.
In the Living Rosary, each participant not only prays the Rosary but helps to perform one. Each person serves as a bead while praying the Rosary as a group. You can say it in your own language.
On Sunday, Oct. 6, 1:45-2:45 pm, we will celebrate the blessing of the animals in honor of the feast of St. Francis (4 October). It will be drive-thru style: enter the parking lot via Cloverly, roll down your windows for the blessing and a prayer card, exit via Broadway with your blessed animals!
St. Luke Church’s annual Crib Project will begin this weekend and continue until Nov. 3. The items donated will benefit the Pregnancy Help Center of San Gabriel Valley. There are slips of paper around the crib that indicate items needed.

Please bring your usable clothing and usable household items to their truck here at our church in the North Parking Lot. The Bethlehem Christian Families will host a table after Masses the weekend of Oct. 12-13 to sell their hand carved religious articles made of olive wood.
The sale of these precious articles supports their Church Mission which is to maintain the roots and the existence of the Christian Families who are struggling to remain in Bethlehem. At least ninety percent of the funds raised through these sales go directly to Christians living in the Bethlehem area.
The proceeds will create more work which will help them to survive and stay in the Holy Land since they have no other source of income and are dependent on the olive wood industry. Thank you for your support and generosity!
The St. Luke Family Ministry will host its 12th Annual Halloween Fun Night on Saturday, Oct. 19. For people of all ages, it will feature trick-or-treating; cupcake decorating; games and family fun; a GIANT slide; disco dancing; and hamburgers, hot dogs and nachos to purchase! Come to the 5:30 pm Mass, in costume, and enjoy a wonderful Halloween-themed evening afterward.
We are seeking donations of Halloween candy to help defray the costs. Donations may be dropped off at the Pastoral Office. We appreciate your support!
